Atlanta, GA - September 26, 2010 -- Michelle Brown-Stafford, mother of 14-year-old Steven Stafford, a junior at Morehouse College, will be a special guest speaker at Talk 2 Your Baby’s free workshop at Bloom & Grow on October 9, 2010, at 11:00 a.m.
Parents will hear about the benefits of early communication between parents and their children, as well as the many tools available to them to facilitate early education. Talk 2 Your Baby offers classes and fun activities where infants and toddlers, along with their caregivers, not only learn sign language, but use signing to learn phonics, sight words, numbers, colors, reading, math, science and social studies. Talk 2 Your Baby also offers enrichment sessions for Pre K2-K4 children. Parents will also be able to register their children for upcoming classes, which have limited space available, during the workshop. Bloom & Grow is located at 928A Garrett Street, Atlanta, GA 30316.
Claire Anderson, who has a Master’s in Elementary Mathematics and Literacy, as well as an American Sign Language certification, founded Talk 2 Your Baby after successfully teaching her son Caleb Anderson to read and count by using sign language.
By the age of 18 months, Caleb could read at the first grade level, use phonics, and add.
